Blog Party is a group blog that takes a look at Milwaukee's music scene and nightlife. The regular contributors are MKE's music reporter, an area DJ, a local artist and some dude who loves his belt buckle. 
Don't feel sorry for MKE copy editor Dave Lee, whose childhood years were deeply affected by Atari, comic books and "Star Trek." He likes to think he's grown out of it now, but his repressed geeky side still rages within – kind of like the Hulk. But he's accepted who he is and wants to show everybody that geek can be chic. 
Tanya is a colorful Floridian residing in Milwaukee for the past 13 years. She's a thirty-something freelance writer, hoodmomma, artist and social commentator, cultural activist, often aggravated with society and in love at the same time. Black Sky, as she calls her artist self, offers readers' reflections and connections for the Midwestern eye. 
Sonya Jongsma Knauss is a 32-year-old mother of four girls ranging from almost toddler to argumentative pre-teen. (Okay, maybe 9 is not pre-teen, but sometimes it sure seems like it!) She and her husband Dan live in Milwaukee's Harambee neighborhood, and between family, friends and neighborhood activities, there is never a dull moment. Sonya is assistant editor at MKE. Whenever balancing everything gets to be too much, she laces up her shoes and goes for a run. As long as it's above 10 degrees. 
The marathon has humbled Tim Cigelske. He has run two of them, but neither was that great. He barely finished his first and felt nothing but despair after the second. That was after giving up entirely the first time he tried to train for a marathon. So why does he want to try again? Runners are just kind of stupid that way. He also wants to train the right way this time - and make sure another beginner doesn't go through what he went through.
