Submit your MP3, album cover art (or band photo) and bio and we may include it in MKE's local music jukebox. Submissions will be accepted from bands that are based in or have roots in Wisconsin.

what we need
Please prepare the following items and send them in an e-mail attachment to webmaster@mkeonline.com. We need all five of the items listed below.

1. MP3 of one song Sorry, no explicit lyrics.
   
   
2. Band/musician bio Keep it brief, ideally one paragraph. Tell us the band's history and the genre of music you play. Keep it simple and avoid flowerly descriptions like "the most amazing and rockingest band..." All bios are subject to editing for content and length.
   
   
3. Band/musician artwork Preferably the CD artwork, but a photo of you or the band will work, too. It can be professional or something you took with your camera phone. Just keep it clean, please. (Some of us eat at our desks!) MKE may edit photos for size, color and content.
   
   
4. Link to a Web site Your band's official site or a MySpace page will work. If you don't have either, let us know.
   
   
5. Expressed permission for use of all of the above Copy and paste the following into your e-mail to us. Please fill in the items in bold.
   
   This release sets forth the terms of the agreement ("Agreement") between MKE (the "Newspaper") and [YOUR NAME/BAND NAME] regarding the use of certain sound recordings of your performance of certain musical compositions by the Newspaper on and in connection with the Newspaper's Web site, the homepage of which is located at www.mkeonline.com or such successor URL chosen by the Newspaper ("Newspaper Site").
   
   You will provide the Newspaper with pre-recorded sound recording(s) ("Sound Recordings") of your performance of the musical compositions identified in Exhibit A (the "Musical Composition(s)").
   
   You grant the Newspaper a non-exclusive and royalty-free license to reproduce, transmit, distribute, publicly perform, and otherwise use the Musical Composition(s) and the Sound Recording(s), in whole or in part, throughout the world in perpetuity in connection with the Newspaper Site.
   
   You also grant the Newspaper a royalty-free license to reproduce and use your name(s), likeness(es), image(s) and voice(s) and the name of your band (if any) (together with all trademark rights therein, the "Publicity Rights"). The Newspaper shall have no obligation to use the Musical Composition(s) or the Sound Recording(s), in whole or in part.
   
   You agree you will not be entitled to any royalty or additional compensation in connection with this Agreement.
   
   You will retain all rights to the Musical Composition(s) and the Sound Recording(s), including all copyright and other intellectual property rights therein. You agree that the Newspaper has no control over the use of the Musical Composition(s) and/or Sound Recording(s) by third parties who access these materials on the Newspaper Site.
   
   You represent and warrant that you are the sole author(s) and owner of the Musical Composition(s) and have the right to license them; you have the full right and authority to enter into this Agreement and to grant the Newspaper the rights granted in this Agreement; and the Newspaper's use of the Musical Composition(s), the Sound Recording(s), or the Publicity Rights as contemplated under this Agreement will not infringe or violate the rights of any third party, including without limitation, any copyright, trademarks, or right of privacy or publicity. These representations and warranties shall survive the termination of this Agreement for any reason.
   
   You agree to indemnify and hold MKE harmless from and against any liabilities, losses, damages and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to your breach of this Agreement. MKE shall have the right, at its sole option, to defend and/or settle any such claim or proceeding on such terms as it deems advisable. These indemnification obligations shall survive the termination of this Agreement for any reason.
   
   This Agreement is not intended to create a partnership between MKE and you. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between MKE and you and supersedes any prior agreements, representations or understandings, whether written or oral, by the parties and maybe amended or modified only by the parties' mutual written consent. This agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin. I have read and understand the guidelines stated on the submission Web page.
